Aston Alloys and its associated companies are an established, competitive and reliable supplier of graphite electrodes to end-user customers and agents in the metallurgical and chemical industries.
Since its inception, 25 years ago, Aston Alloys identified specialist and quality producers of graphite electrodes and other furnace consumables, allowing us to confidently supply products into the Central and Southern African markets.
Our graphite electrodes are used in electric arc furnaces (EAF) in the ferrous and non-ferrous melting and smelting industries. The ores and materials our electrodes process include iron, steel, copper, gold, platinum, ferrosilicon [Ferro-silicon, Silicon], mill scale as well as ferroalloys [Ferro-alloy, Ferro alloy].
Aston Alloys are suppliers of cost-effective high-quality electrodes across various grades to maximise value and satisfaction to our customers, ensuring optimum performance. Our electrodes are manufactured from high-quality needle coke which is essential for consistent performance.
We supply regular/normal power (RP/NP), high impregnated (HD), high power (HP), super-high power (SHP) and ultra-high power (UHP) grade electrodes.

Our stock of electrodes is housed locally in our warehousing network across Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal. Additionally, we offer a logistics service that covers most destinations across Central Africa and SADC countries. Our electrodes are securely packed on rigid wooden pallets for road freight and containerised ocean freight.
Our experienced technical team has over 50 years of combined experience and can offer impartial advice to optimise the use, performance and cost-effectiveness of your graphite electrode usage.
Aston Alloys is a BEE level 2 compliant company.
In addition to the sale of new electrodes, we offer a refurbishing service. This process involves the machining of discarded or broken electrodes into a commercially usable product.
Aston Alloys can source and deliver other quality foundry consumables for high-temperature applications. Our range includes, but is not limited to, refractory bricks (Alumina and magnesite based materials), monolithics, precast shapes, nozzles, plumbago type stopper rod ends and ferroalloys.
